Erie Shores 2018

Erie Shores 2018 started with bang for us, with Donnie winning Best of Breed in beautiful entry of whippets and then going on to place 1st in the Group over 170 hounds including some of top dogs in North America!!

This amazing win catapulted him to #6 whippet in Canada in the show standings.

Gracie also entered her first official show, and was awarded Best Puppy in Breed at the All Hound Specialty, for which she won this beautiful picture given in Memory of Terry Taft. Terry was a long time whippet breeder, mentor and friend to many. He really was a remarkable person; intelligent, truthful, wise and witty, and I think anyone who knew him even a little felt his loss when he passed. After the All Hound Specialty there was a brief memorial for Terry, given by Dr. Richard Meen. I was glad to be there, and reminded once again that this 'dog show thing' is as much about passion and community as it is about winning. As always, a great hound weekend!
