Donnie is GRAND!
I spent my birthday weekend doing what I love best, showing dogs! This time Karen and I headed North for the Barrie Kennel Club shows with Donnie, Grace and Angel.
Donnie won Best of Breed at all three of the All Breed shows, earning him enough points to finish his Grand Champion title. Gracie was awarded Winners Bitch three times as well as Best Puppy in Group on Saturday, and won Best of Breed from the classes at the UK Limited Breed show on Monday, putting her within a single point of finishing her Canadian Championship title. She was handled to her breed win entirely by Karen, who is a very new handler. Great job Karen! Angel won 1st place in the 6-9 month Sweepstakes competition, and went on to take 2nd place overall of all breeds for her age category. A successful weekend for all of our hounds!
Karen spoiled me for my birthday, we had a fabulous dinner by the lake one night and stayed in a great airbnb with an art and craft store on site, and I slept with the dogs snuggled in bed with me. The wins are nice, but this is the stuff that are the memories that made of!
